Hiding in the shadows

It's not about money, I've learnt that.

Quality of life is far more important.

Start your own business, work your own hours.

I don't earn half what used to, but I've never been happier

Best thing I ever did

Agree. Being your own boss can be extremely hard work at times but the pleasures it brings are immense. Having a day or three off as and when you like, not having to justify your actions to anyone etc, bring a whole new dimension to freedom that earning big money whilst being an employee can never bring. You can also earn plenty too, just depends what your goals are and how much time you want to put in. No point being super rich as you put it with no time to spend it as well as being someone else’s bitch

When you're super rich you have so much free time to do whatever you want with your money. Passive income... Some people do it by 21 (rare I know)

Having invested in many ventures over the years and now in a potentially good business I use the mantra

Only do what you know

I trade in goods and only those things I know and have a good understanding about

Best way to make money is not just know you’re strengths but more importantly know your weaknesses

Let’s just say OP, I drive a Ford Focus Ghia with a squeaky fan belt and have a yurt in the country where I listen to dub reggae and ting. I also like to blow the tit end of my shiny sax there. Hope this helps X

I found the first 3 years of starting my own business I worked harder and longer then all my friends

I’ll culled down to 36 hours a week knowing that it’s enough to keep a balance between business and life

I worked a 70hr week when my eldest son was little, I decided with the rest I wanted to be home.

I work 20hrs max in 1 job, 14 in the other.

My kids are teenagers now, and I get my weekends all to myself.

Can't complain

I wouldn't say super rich but those new plastic £10 notes are a little rougher when wiping.

Super Rich ain't all it's cracked up to be . .

Look at Mr Hamilton.

£30million a year contract and he rarely looks or sounds happy.
