Is back with a new series called "what is america" which you can watch on 4OD.

It's got lukewarm reviews but i think it's good. I don't think he'll ever top Borat, but this was a lot better than Bruno. There's a great joke about blink 182 in the first episode that is easily missed and Bernie Sanders asks him if he's mentally disabled in the first scene, which is priceless.

They can be funny but slightly cringey if they are scripted interviews and both of them being in on it, I don't like these type of programs when its just a set up to embarrass someone just to try and be funny, Even if I don't like the person being interviewed

Yes if they are in on it then it ruins the concept. But i doubt these lobbyists and politicians would allow themselves to look so stupid. Sanders just looked genuinely confused.

What we learnt from the milgram experiment is that some people will follow pretty much anything an authority figure tells them to do. I do wonder whether they filmed them for a long day where it was mostly sensible and then these were the crazy bits so he established credibility earlier.
