Seemingly it’s national hot dog day ??

So here’s a question what sort of dog do you like the out a jar type or a proper meaty sausage and how do you like them straight up in a bun or covered in tomato and mustard?

Me it’s how the mood takes me not knocking the jar ones but sometimes a proper sausage is required and always covered in mustard and tomato sauce

My sister buys some that are in a vacuum pack. We have them with pasta and pasta sauce.

I like mine in a soft hot dog roll with friend onions and ketchup.

A Dachshund. With fried onions. Done.

Somewhere In The Ether…

Did you know that the hotdog as we know it today (in a bun with garnish) dates back to around 1880? (according to various sources)

Be sure to come back next week when I shall explore the origins of cheese burgers

Hillside desolate

The jar and tin ones are pretty tasteless. The ones out of a packet are more flavoursome, I like them with fried onions and ketchup.

Bratwursts, chargrilled, and boshed in a warm bun, loads of mustard and ketchup.

Usually like a soft buttered hot dog roll, hot dog and tomato sauce.

But my local 24 hour bakery does a massive hot dog baguette with bbq pulled pork and melted cheese

Apparently it’s also National Caviar day too!?

Now it’s a toss up between Hot Dog and all the trimmings or Caviar, Champagne and Blini’s....wonder whether my local One Stop have any Beluga on the shelf!?
