I look amazing with and without. It’s not often I wear a full face of makeup. It’s amazing how many men tell me how good I look ‘natural’ when I have a lot of makeup on, and how many men tell me to ‘take the slap off’ when I only have lipstick on. I’m happy in my own skin.

People would be traumatised if they saw me with no make up. I’m not a natural beauty that’s for sure. I don’t do all that contouring and stuff, but I wear foundation, and do my brows and lashes every day. I just look old and poorly otherwise.

This cake up before and I got a ban for the link I posted. But there’s a really great illustration kicking around which brilliantly captured the difference between what a lot of women maybe think guys think, and what they actually think.

If you Google:

‘This is why I hate wearing makeup’

And click on images it should be the first one, the illustration of the girl with lots of makeup, a bit of natural makeup, and no make up.

Are you I’ll might be a bit extreme, but you get the idea.

I hardly ever wear make up and definitely not day to day..

If i am meeting anyone i usually use a bit of eyeliner and mascara and a tinted lip balm

All my face pics on here show me with no make up but i am quite lucky that i have good skin and no wrinkles

I do wear makeup but I have roseacea so use a foundation to cover that. I do it because I like to feel good myself. I’m not sure if I look better with or without it, but I feel better with x

I'm definitely prettier without make up because I'm allergic to most of it. A puffy, swollen face from using foundation really isn't a good look!

I prefer no make up; only wearing it when I socialise.

Because I don't wear it daily I feel different when I do.

My stepfather in law didn't recognise me at a Christening once, because he had never seen me with my hair straightened and in make up.

Not so much happier in my own skin as can't be arsed.

A minimal amount of foundation to even skin tone and mascara as my eyelashes are invisible without it, that's the extent of my efforts when I go out. I don't wear makeup to work or going about my ordinary day.

I am comfortable in my own skin and only wear makeup when going out partying or meeting someone new. Even then it’s minimal as I’m not a fan of heavy makeup.

I have photos for friends only that include makeup & makeupless photos.

I look a lot younger without makeup and am lucky to have pretty much blemish free skin apart from the monthly hormonal buggers that pop up!

I have naturally nice brows but I wish I had longer lashes! They’re so thick but short!

With or without, whatever makes a lady feel good. Up to a point. The current craze of contouring to the point the face looks completely different is just weird. And it is rarely done well enough to look "right" from all angles, seeming primarily only working from a direct face on angle.

I don’t know where women find the time to do this, my pals daughter takes 2 hours to do her make up before work by the time she’s contoured and blended and highlighted. Fuck that. I need my beauty sleep even more than I need to contour. Or maybe actually I need both....

It takes me 45 min to do makeup - contours, fake eyelashes and intricate eye makeup. So really for day to day, more than 20 min and it’s too much.., the most one needs is foundation/concealer, mascara, blush/powder and a translucent lippy.

Winter months I tend to wear more as I'm quite pale skinned.

Once had a 'demo' makeover in public at a charity do,ended up with aggressive black winged eye liner, shading in'Cleopatra' green shadow, looked like I'd been left in the rain to go mouldy. Wet wipe anyone?"

I had my brows shaped at the benefit counter at the weekend. One of her colleagues had amazing winged eyeliner, so I asked her to do it on me... I’m not quite sure what went wrong, but it looked awful! When my mate arrived she cracked up while I was still at the counter. Not very tactful

I don’t mind either on me. I go for the natural look when I wear makeup, so I don’t really look like I’m wearing any. Probably the best con going *laughs*

"Happy in my own skin and I wear make up. I know how to apply it so I don't look like I'm suffering from clown syndrome. Apparently there's something wrong with a woman that wants to make the most of her features. Strange place, the fab forum. "

No one's saying that. Some people prefer not to wear make up daily.

It can take ages to look like you aren't to get the natural look.

"I wear very little makeup and not very often. Mr never bothers at all.

The thing with eyeliner and eyeliner styles is that they have to suit your eye shape. If you have hooded eye lids for example, then how you apply eye makeup changes from what MUAs on counters do

Love the stuff and wear some pretty much every day. Love how it can totally transform an outfit, minimal eye make up and red lip or smokey eye and nude lip.

Care not a jot what others think but have often been complimented on it so must be doing something right.
