They turned up, early, and getting on with the job? What devilry is this? I have trouble getting a tradesman to even show up to provide a quote.

Don't worry, they'll be gone when they've got halfway through the job and you won't see them for days. Don't pay them and, definitely don't give them beer till they've finished...in a week or two!
