The FP version was my more acute exposure to it and *stuck*.

"you never see these albums in charity shops... you know why?.. they go directly to landfill.. " Some of them can be worth money - there's a CD of Now 4 on ebay bidding at £280, buy it now £599. I don't think it's because of the music though, I think the cd itself was one of the first produced.

"Never bought any, but ma cousin used to get Top Of The Pops albums, which were basically all cover versions, back in the late 60's & 70's I had one of those " Ma cousin had loads of the damned things, but she used to piss me off by playing the same few tracks over and over again

"I won the very first one, in a pop quiz, at the under 16s disco at the local community centre. Shit! I feel old now " My parents had the original on vinyl (before it was called vinyl..just an album) For a while they brought out a new one every few weeks. Which was basically the charts of the last 3 weeks. Never bothered with those as I had taped it from the chart show on Sunday night anyway

"Now that’s what I call music 100 is released this weekend, the first one I bought was 14,on cassette. From memory it had such classics as T’Pau- China in your hand, Paul Hardcastle-19 and Whitesnake - Here I go again. I played it to death, cause it was the only album I had at the time. Did you ever buy one of these ‘Now that’s what I call music’ albums, if you did what was the first one you got ? " The first one I got was original and it didn't have a number !
