Disaster Averted!

At work today we went to cast using a wooden former when a cat suddenly jumped out of it. Thinking what the hell it was doing in there we checked the former, inside was five still blind kittens!

We managed to get them out and put them in a box with a clean old towel then put the box in a safe protected place close by. A couple of hours later the box was checked, mum happily reunited with said kittens and all seemed happy.

I do have a soft side!

Jesus, imagine the guilt if you’d have found them all dead afterwards, that would be horrible.

Could you go one step further please - get someone from a cat charity to arrange for neutering, there are way too many unwanted cats being allowed to breed.

We have quite a lot of feral cats at work even though we feed them daily.

We've already being in touch with the cat protection league and they're slowly going round doing that, but there is a lot of them.

no matter

Call Cat Protection so they can come out and take mum and babies to safety get her neutered and checked for microchip.

She and babies can be found good homes and not get caught by another rampant male In a couple of weeks. Would be a good idea.

Well done for finding them before disaster.Mwahh!

Update: mum has moved all five kitten and made up home in a disused industrial cement mixer, all seem fine and we're keeping an eye on them.

Poor little thing unless she is taken in by a Rescue she wil end up pregnant and doing the same thing several times a year. As will the babies .

If CPL is called they will take her to a safe place with her babies neuter vaccinate deflea and find good homes . Quite sad for her to live wild .

I agree with the people suggesting you get a rescue to come and take them.

Mum may never be comfortable around people and may need to be returned once she has been spayed but the kittens are young enough to learn to trust humans and be rehomed.
