my mum is 70 this year and i have no idea what to get thats special. i paid for professional family pics for her 50th,did a party for her 60th but have no ideas this time

For my mums 70th, I bought mum and dad hotel vouchers so they could go away together for a few days.

Opting for vouchers was a safer option than just booking something directly as it meant I wasn't dictating where or when they went, just which group of hotels they would need to make their choice from.

In the end, they had a lovely couple of days away in a spa hotel in the South Lakes which they both enjoyed.

if they are both fairley mobile,a nice little break away somewhere,or take them to one of those realy beautiful old Hotels for afternoon tea,you get your own butler,and they treat you like royalty

Secretly contact all her living relatives and ask them to spend a few minutes handwriting their personal recollection of a happy moment spent in your mothers company, then paste them altogether in a scrap book with any old photographs you get of these relatives…….!.

my mus has said she doesnt want anything or a fuss made. as its her 70th we cant ignore it and she had a tough year with illness and losing her cat she had for 18yrs.

gonna def do this for her she has 7 grandchildren who could do something. my daughter writes poetry so she will no doubt do a special poem.
