Each to their own - personally I prefer to get to know people a little before meeting and find that generally it adds to the experience rather than detracts from it - but appreciate that for some the excitement of meeting sooner than later appeals too.

That's what makes Fab such a great place, it caters to all kinds of preferences

It all depends who you’re talking to and what your common interests are. I personally feel that if I can’t hold a conversation with someone and enjoy their company then I’m not going to want to meet them.

I prefer to chat a while by messages and get to know someone, but I also understand that not everyone wants to. I certainly wouldn't call someone bring just because they choose to do it differently to how I do. Why judge people OP...that says more about you that those your taking about in your opening post.

That's what makes Fab such a great place, it caters to all kinds of preferences

Us too, there are so many variables in our complicated lifw, that makes this a way of life sadly, but it is what it is and we'd rather make contact with lovely people, get to know how each other roll and enjoy the meet up when it happens. It also breaks the ice somewhat, knowing that if they've invested some time into chatting that the likelihood of meeting goes up and that the time spent is invested into developing a relationship.

But as been pointed out here in this thread, each to their own.

I have severe anxiety and I meet on my own. I’d rather a few weeks chatting to make sure I like them and fancy them. I’ve cancelled so many meets due to panic attacks, so I’d rather the reassurance of being almost 100% sure that I want to fuck then

No, it didn’t get boring. I got to know some very interesting men. Plus establishing boundaries and other things. Not only that I would rather be able to trust someone rather than just meet without getting to know them. Everyone has a personal preference for various reasons. Doesn’t mean they’re boring.

I talked to someone for a full nine months before meeting as he lives at the other end of the country. The conversation never dried up and when we met we got on so well. I daresay the amount we talked beforehand only made things better.

Maybe, like ourselves , we’ve chatted to other couples that are going to the same event/ socials etc... hence “been chatting for a few weeks” veris.

Well why don’t you just use the site the way you choose and let everybody use it their own way. There is no right or wrong. Not everybody is after a meaningless shag with a total stranger, id say those people are in the minority.

My free time is also very limited, so it maybe several weeks from first message to be able to actually meet.

I don't chat on fab every day, so a basic conversation can take quite a while to progress - and someone new may not be my priority next meet.

We all have different speeds that we move at - I'm fairly slow. It's also based on availability - both ways - when it comes to meeting too.

I don't post such stuff to news and info. People with incompatible pressure to rush will fall by the wayside - it's part of the filtering process.
