If women can seek discretion, is it so wrong for men to do the same?

I only ask as it seems men are judged more harshly!

I think some people assume it means you're cheating (unfairly)

I also think a lot of people put it on their profiles because they've seen it on others, but have no clue what it actually means.

There is a double standard that can apply but perhaps (some/generally) women assume discretion is assumed by all and (some/generally) men think they need to spell it out.

This could be because (some/generally) men will talk about their sex lives more than (some/generally) women do.

I think there are double standards but women don't tend to talk about it so much and rarely take to the forum to complain about their treatment.
