Live aid. It was one of our first dates but we ended up watching live aid on the television. Ultravox were and still are my favourites but really enjoyed Queen and U2 as well.

Where did you watch, who were you with and who were your favourites?

Seen Midge and Ultravox loads of times. In fact we will be seeing Midge Ure again tomorrow in Shrewsbury at the let’s rock concert!

I watched it at my nan and grampy’s. I remember it vaguely now. Didn’t they do a link over to America for Madonna?

They did, Phil Collins performed at Wembley then flew over to perform later on in Philadelphia.

I was a couple of days away from having my second child. I don't recall watching it.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I was 20, renting a room from a really strange man. I watched it in bed with my boyfriend, in between bouts of sex.

Durham Tees

I watched it at my place, then went to a wedding, then watched some of the Philadelphia concert at a friend's flat after the reception was over.

There and to the left a bit

I was 20 and a Special Constable on duty there (they used Specials as much as they could to keep costs to the charity down) - didn't get to see much while there and finished around tea-time-ish from memory.

Caught up with it on video and highlights for me were The Style Council, The Boomtown Rats - the moment where Sir Bob sings "And the lesson today is how to die" during Mondays and then just stops is particularly poignant and powerful, U2 and Bowie were other highlights
