Come across a few apps etc where they ask if you want to open/join via your Facebook account, is this normal and safe?

The right place

Yes, it just uses Facebook as a sign in verification. Best to check the privacy settings when you go through the process and don’t let them have access to anything you don’t want them too

Cheers, guess that's when you're joining up with various sites and not on Facebook?

It’s teally common - and it allows the site you’re signing up on access to your Facebook data, so it can target advertising etc

I used to do it all the time & never had any problems, but after the recent Facebook issues, I’ve deleted all links between that & any other site

In cave behind a waterfall on a hill

It also allows Facebook to scrape your data sell it to advertisers and flog you crap you never knew you needed.

Wouldn't suggest you link it to fab
