No less tolerant, but I use the site as I see fit, not as others think I should. Block/fab/block/wink etc to your hearts content it's your profile. This isn't the real world!!

I dont find block a negative thing as more a practical feature to ensure my experience on the site is what im looking for.

For me im not here to be perved over by every tom dick and harry, hence the lack of photos i have. So any guy over 30 who messages or winks gets an instant block as i dont want anyone ignoring my preferences, im here for me not them. Dont want them to keep visiting my profile, so im now out their mind.

Will also do the same to anyone who messages me what they want to do to me.. im not after that kind of thing.. so block.

Just a tool that works for me and blocking shouldnt be taken personally, the person has zero interest in you if they block you, so move on.

Also helps stop repeated contact, some people just dont get that i am not interested in them, they really want me and just cant accept rejection as they are only thinking of what they want and not what i want. Had this discussion with a few guys before who wouldnt take no as an answer.. i asked them why they are ignoring me, and their answers were always, cos i really want you and i fancy you, i tomd them i didnt fancy them, but they insisted i had to meet them as they fancied me.. seriously.. block from now on

I don’t block under the present circumstances. I can see why people block persistent messages or those who don’t fit what they are looking for totally and obviously abuse etc.

I certainly wouldn’t block over a forum issue that’s a little sad and petty.

We very rarely block and the less as time goes by.

I think after a while you know how to spot who's not for you and we are far better at just saying, sorry but you're not for us. When we say it now, we tend not to get people come back with anything other than 'ok, thanks'.

We are quite ruthless with our friends list though. We don't tend to keep the same people on the list for ages if we haven't messaged recently or there is no hope of a meet.

Good question D. Yes. Last time I saw block as a negative or aggressive thing, this time I realise it’s a neutral tool and I’m using it more, and more quickly. It makes my fab experience slightly more straightforward and drama free.

We very rarely used the block feature but as we have found our feet a bit more then we block more. Usually profiles that we wouldn't be suited to or when we have strong suspicions of not being genuine. Annoying updates is the latest reason. Same thing every day or the kind of update we'd expect to see on other social media.

In almost two years I've blocked three people - two women for blatantly homophobic comments on a bi thread I was on and one guy who sent me 5 or 6 "fancy a BJ now" messages in 24 hours - so I only use it as a last resort and just tend to ignore anything else that gets up my nose
