North Bucks

The Angry Friar Gibraltar. I sit outside and people watch. The sun invariably shines unless the Levanter Cloud is around. Gibraltar is very cosmopolitan and tolerant so one minute you can watch people hurrying to worship and the next a bunch of rowdy sailors coming up the street. It’s directly over the road from the Convent and also the First Ministers workplace so lots goes on.

The odd cheeky monkey drops by as well

It used to be the waggon Inn Belsay but now it's a poncy fish restaurant £8.95for a fish finger sandwich!!! So the Dyke neuk is the one for me now near mitford

The Botanist in Chester

Great gin bar ( other alcoholic beverages are served too...as well as exotic sounding mocktails) and the food is delicious

I have only been into the salutation once or twice, but never rated it, beer wasn’t great but I know a lot of people that love going in there, I prefer the likes of corner pub, railway and the leopard area and maybe venture to lockwoods now and then

Not particularly concerned about beer but always a lovely atmosphere in there.

Talking of cocktails though, one night in VDKA,my friend had a Slow Screw Against The Wall and I had Bum Sex....I think she had a better time than I did.A bit sickly for my tastes.

The Brace of Pheasants, Plush, deepest West Dorset.

Incredible inside, food is proper local game and fish and its beer is excellent. A welcome resting place when out walking.
