Settlewick!

I'm taking in a new dress.I did needlework at school 100s of years ago and was asked to leave the lesson So I thought, how hard can it be?

Well, it's a bloody shambles, I've tied everything up in cotton and it looks worse than before

I want my mum!!!!

Somewhere In The Ether…

I’d suggest a hasty internet search for local seamstresses might be wise; Sowing is quite an art which like any other form of creativity, takes time to master

It was only a £4 charity shop dress, I hardly think it's worth the expense of getting a professional in x

If you have pins, I suggest pinning the dress where you want to take it in, then do a loose running stitch to begin with say a couple of inches away from the pins then you can just take it section by section. Try with less thread on your needle.

Hope this helps x

Sewing is a troubling business. I don’t even attempt to do it anymore. I don’t have those skills. I can sew a button on though
