Just wondering who else travels as part of there job, sales manager etc etc.

Would be great to set up some socials as these hotels do get boring.

I guess people try to organise meets when they know they are in a hotel anyway but it's worth a try.

Simply post what areas you stay away in and let's see if it gets people chatting.

I'm hoping it's not a sausage fest and that women are in the same kind of roles

I'm happy to meet people 'passing through my area' for a social if we get on.

That's a great start so thank you, I find most locals won't meet guys visiting there area even though I do it every few weeks through the year.

Maybe it's a polite way of saying bugger off

Sussex countryside

It is a good idea people rarely pass through my little town but if it was someone I knew from the forums I would be happy to try fit in a social.

I travel a lot throughout wales and Yorkshire and I stopped meeting in my hotels as by the time I got their I was knackered ha ha. But I try have the odd social and have built up some good loyal friendships off here. And maybe a little bit of naughtyness as well

I always try to find meets when I'm traveling with work. Had some of my best meets doing that too (when I was here before).

Biggest problem is as mentioned, a lot of people don't want someone just passing through.

Also by the time I tend to get to the hotel and had dinner, most of the evening has gone

I'd be happy to meet a "travelling" Forumite that I recognised but, other than that, I won't meet "I'm in your area" folk normally.
