Who are these men?

Coventry

Just read an article on the BBC (news site, not FAB BBC). It was about a woman who had to keep her salary secret from her boyfriend. She earns 20k+ more than him and said that if he knew this it would hurt him. The writer suggests this is a common thing for men to get there egos hurt by being the lower earner. Do these men actually exist? Surely your partner earning more that you is a great thing not a bad thing? Surely it means as a team you have a bigger pot to play with?

Lord knows

I couldn’t care less who earns more - as long as I’m happy with what I’m doing and that I’m being paid fairly

Surprising that there still men out there that think like that. I assume these are the types of men that need to compensate for other stuff by having a flash car?

I for one am happy with my metro.

It is good thing only if they put equal share for their home. I am single, but don't know exactly how things work if you have a partner, but I would prefer to split the home expense equally, but I think at some household the higher earner may spend more, so it is obvious some people pay lie to their partner about their pay and claim they are low earners.... Then later to justify if they get caught, they say, this is to not to hurt my partner...lol
