So I took the weekend off work to attend a mates party last night. I’ve woken up bright and early and I’m off work today too, I’d normally have my kids when I’m off but as it’s a work day I’m child free. It’s very very rare I get a free day like this. I have a motorbike and it’s glorious weather outside yet I’m at a loss what to do with my day or where to go. All my mates are working so whatever I do I’ll be doing it alone.

Any ideas?

Yeah, I’ll just be putting jeans on with my boots, I have a lightweight armoured summer jacket so not too bad once you’re moving. Where am i going? x

Like you , I have a bike and am child free today (though I’m working til 3pm)

So my plan is a leisurely ride early evening over to Winchester where I’ll find a spoons , order some munchies and sit and enjoy the last of the days sun before the journey home

I find it wonderful me time

Hope you work out something fun to do today

Oh you’re in Southport OP. It’s lovely there and it’s a beautiful day. You could play the tuppeny machines on the pier? You could go bird watching? A stroll along the front? A coffee and people watch .... that’s my personal favourite

I’ve got it ..... you could go to the Portland Spa. A massage, jacuzzi etc?

Yeah me too, I live a stones throw from Woodvale airfield where they all take off from so I see them from the comfort of my own garden. A wellington bomber pretty much skimmed my roof yesterday.

Somewhere In The Ether…

Perfect weather for taking the bike out to a scenic vista. Possibly call in at a quiet country pub (obviously only one pint as you’re driving) and relax before driving to an uppermost geographical point and watching the beauty of the sun set

Sounds good to me but most places high up are currently on fire. Not much to see but smoke
