You say that, but due to how things panned out, there's a strong side to this WC and the side England are on.

Acknowledging that the fates have smiles on England doesn't diminish their achievement, but simply put it in context.

Someone went out last night & stuck England flags & wrote "Take That" on all the boards along one street.

I’m not sure what to think about yesterday, are Sweden as poor as we made them look or are we that good??

I was convinced before the tournament started that we’d win it, nothing I’ve seen has altered that belief.

There was a moment where he was one on one with their keeper and no clear chance to score.

Two English players in much better positions, both unmarked. The team player would have passed and got us another goal.

His desperation to score is too apparent.

And he's still trying his fancy flicks and tricks in the wrong place at the wrong time.

On the flipside I think his pace will frighten Croatia to death. Just wish he'd put some end product to it.
