Great film; Remember the scenes featuring the no nonsense games teacher (played by the late, great Brian Glover); Shit, If a teacher slapped a kid across the head like that today it would (quite rightly) be the inception of a media frenzy and a subsequent court case for assault.

I saw a thing where they spoke to the actor who played the lad who had the kestrel and he was saying he actually did get caned in the movie for authenticity got an extra 50p for it.... great movie

Ken Loach went to our Grammar School. My mates dad was in his class.

Red Ken was his nickname.

Another champagne socialist, but was that a cracking film.

Think the school was where Darren Gough went to school,in Barnsley.
