1:8 women get breast cancer. I cannot recall the stats for men, but even though it's a lower percentage, men get it too. I know of a male student who believes he got it through use of steroids in body building. He had a double mastectomy.

So check once a month and ladies, not when pre-menstrual.

Once every four weeks or once a month is ample. It's not just checking for lumps but detecting changes. If, for example, you're doing it weekly, it's too often and you may not detect changes.

I check mine after a shower about once a month but get hubby to check them too just incase I miss anything.. Not that he minds

Absolutely but i will state incidences of women getting breast cancer is 24 times higher than men getting testicular cancer.

If a man has a mother, a grandmother, a wife, two daughters, a sister and two nieces, stats say that one of these will get breast cancer.... Just trying to bring it home to you all.
