Take him to puppy socialising classes. Find someone with calm bigger dogs you can slowly introduce him to.

It's the only way. You have to remain calm, don't fuss him as that will just confirm it's a scary situation. Be the strong alpha dog.

Trap rats and allow the dog to kill them. Boosting its self confidence, and reminding it that it's a wolf not a toy.

Pets corner do a puppy socialising meet in the store on Saturdays, it might help.

They are free, but you usually spend a fortune in there regardless.

In cave behind a waterfall on a hill

Time. Take it slowly. Don't push the dog you will make it worse. Try and find him a friend dog he can get confident being with. Get another dog. Around the same age.

They are like people. They can get spooked and then it takes them time attention praise and feeling secure with other dogs. Even then it may still be nervous of other dogs.

Good luck

Puppy obedience or ringcraft training is the only way which is effective.

You need to get your dog around others and as soon as possible. Allowing her to continue to grow up scared or nervous towards other dogs, will be damaging for her.

They learn so much at those classes. Trust me you'll be glad you went.

First, get a book called Perfect Puppy by Gwen Bailey.

I've a a Lhassa Poo and they're incredibly resilient. If you get angsty and cuddly when the dog freaks out, he's not going to get any better. They need to learn who is boss.

If you're not tough, he'll walk all over you.

i think time and confidence will be the answer i have a rescue husky/german Shepherd and he is a rsponsive dog but with the right dog he is unresponsive i find hes great with puppies and females but not males so tend to try to intigrate with them still or work in progress just take your time biggest thing is do not let them feel your strees they sense it and react hope this helps

Jesus how pedantic are you, yes she knows that she was in the Kennel Club for years she also bred championship cats but it doesn't mean you can't abbreviate errr most people would know what a Cav/Cavy was you don't have to spell it out for them......we're not in the USA....

It's a dog, they sort there own shit out if you let them be what they are, a dog.

If you treat it like a child, you'll get some random shit behaviour because it no longer knows what it is, which is a dog, a hybrid of a hybrid of a wolf, domesticated by humans to do a job of work.

Just keep socialising and be confident. If you start getting worried so will the pup. Just try not to fuss when passing other dogs. Give praise and treats.

Be the pack leader. He’ll feed off your reactions. Tough love can be difficult because he’s a fluffy ball of bollox but as someone said earlier, he needs to dog up. Don’t wrap him up in cotton wool, and don’t pick him up if he gets scared around other dogs, they never learn to socialise properly if you do that kind of thing.

Look on the kennel club website they list reputable breeders and when puppy's are being born.

Also google the breed and club as I'm pretty sure it will have an owners type club who will know the right people for you to talk to.

How does this make him an irresponsible owner? So confused right now. Dogs rough each other up. It happens. Especially on walks where they are both off the lead. You ever try catch a dog when they are running full pelt towards a dog you didnt know was there? Not fun. Before jumping to conclusions, get the full story.
