A few years ago I was working in Cork and stayed in a little B&B. The little old lady who ran it would come round while you were eating your breakfast with a platter with loads more food on it, and she’d go full mrs Doyle on you..... “would ya like some more bacon...?”

“No thanks, I’m stuffed “.

“Ah go on now....” she’d say as she was spooning a stack of bacon onto your plate. “Would ya like some more white pudding....? Ah go on.....”

Every morning was the same. She was such a sweet lady and the food was so good. I swear I put on over a stone in 4 days.

Now that’s the bestest fry up in the world ever.
