I’m on a 4 week stomp around the Scottish highlands and currently I’m on Eigg, one of the small isles in the inner Hebrides. It’s 9km long and 5km east to west. I doubt there are any fab members here huh, have I finally found a place where they don’t exist (yet) Or am I wrong lol.

Anyway, you Scottish people have a beautiful place with some of the most amazing beaches I’ve ever been to. Ever.

Any tips on where to head once I’m back on the mainland ?

X

Grantown-on-spay is a really nice town. Surrounded by mountains.

Worked there once And stayed in the Garth hotel.

I'd start there

All absolutely beautiful and with great scenic hikes to be had. Hope you're having an amazing time OP.

I’m having an amazing time thank you. Some of the beaches I’ve seen have been jaw droppingly beautiful, you’d think you were in the Caribbean. Done plenty of hiking to, Ben Nevis Wednesday as the weather is good

Glasgow

Did you get there via Glencoe and Loch Lomond? That route back down to Glasgow is stunning. Or head north to Skye past Eilean Donan Castle.

I went up Ben Nevis in 1993, we (me & ma then missus who is Aberdonian) decided to go up on the Saturday as we were camping there. There were no clouds in the sky on the Friday evening, come Saturday it was very cloudy and you couldn't see Jack Shit when you got to the top

I was working in roshven for a few weeks and took the road up from fort William which was stunning. The beaches in arisaig and further on are incredible, as are some of the mountain walks Iv done so far. I’m either wild camping or in the van every night so getting the full experience
