This is in the middle of nowhere and out of view of anyone and everyone other than those who use the layby.

I'd have thought that in these days of austerity, Northumbria Police would have much more important duties to perform ?

I know it wud be rather naughty.... but there is a phone number to ring if "Anyone" happens to see something suspicious going on..... if anyone had a mind to, they could have the bobbies running up their own a****

I would assume its a PR exercise and an easy bust to help inflate arrest rates. It does seem a little over the top though.

The people who use spots like this for fun will usually look after the place and try to keep it quiet and trouble free.

That is until websites and people post the locations and the fuckwit elements decide to go site seeing with a group of more fuckwits and ruin it for everyone.

It's just a shame that the plods didn't put as much effort into catching the little shithead who broke into my van last week and nicked my tools ..

Here's the scenario - van broken into through the night, in the morning my tools found 500yards up the street by a member of the public and handed to police. Everything returned safe and well thanks to an honest man who was out walking his dog.

Meanwhile the plods arrest a geezer, who according to them is a prolific thief, for 8 similar offences in the same area on the same night

Did the police do any forensic on my van ? No!

Did they do any forensics on my toolbag ? No!

Could they link him to the break into my van ? No!

But they are happy to turn out to a laybay in the middle of nowhere to nobble a couple of folks having sex ....
