Pegging my jeans and shorts out to dry. Do I hang by the waistband or bottom of the legs.

Thanks in advance.

Peg the on the back of the waistband but upright (obviously).

My pegs have to match, if they don't I feel slightly sick.

Not heard this before but i like it, makes sense. Peg marks are less seen

That theory doesn't work for dresses and all-in-one things...though that probably doesn't matter to the OP.

Thanks for that. Nice and easy to remember.

And peg marks in less noticeable area.

You've changed my life and possibly saved my marriage too.

Now if I could just find a way of remembering which setting to put the washing machine on.

I always hang trousers from the ankles, lets the thicker waistband bit waft about in the breeze more.

How might you hang a shirt then. I have it down the middle with an arm each side, but it doesn't feel right

A house, a very big house in the country

Turn them inside out.

Hang up by the legs not the waistband thus enabling the inside and or pockets to dry easier.

If it’s a shirt that is tucked in your trousers then I hang by the bottom hem. If not (say a polo) I fold over the line and peg in the arm pit area.

Best way to deal with peg marks is to iron your clothes surely?

Well that was an anticlimax. I was looling forward to a good camping related thread.

Personally I pen the legs in the futile hope the weight of the waistband keeps tension on the legs and help to pull the creases out as I don't like to iron.

This.

For dresses, it depends on my mood, but normally at the top.
