Having someone cook for you

So in recent months I’ve discovered that the majority of women I’ve met have never had a man cook them a proper meal from scratch.

I find it quite shocking, is this a common thing?

I put more effort into my cooking than I do my profile that's for sure

I like being cooked for, who don't but I do get involved in the kitchen

Your own good is best

It's cleaner

takeaways are crap

What's your best dishes

Whoever does cook

I'm always up for a munch

Jerk chicken/ pork dishes

Lasagne is one that people seem to really enjoy because I mess with the spices.

My paneer curries are pretty good.

There’s not much I can’t make to be honest. What I will not make is seafood dishes because I refuse to make someone food that I can’t eat haha

When I was 17 I used to go out with this boy who lived with his parents but they always did massive food shops and always had nice food. I practically lived there and this boy used to cook for us all the time. Cooked breakfasts and he always done the eggs perfect and the fried mushrooms, he'd make me cottage pies and the potato on top would always be really crisp and lovely.

Gotta say for a first boyfriend he was really good.

I used to do most of the cooking when I was married but since I’ve been single, I’ve met many guys that love to cook. I’ve been lucky enough to have been spoiled in that way with some lovely meals.

You’re too far away or I’d offer to do so. Having said that if your age range dropped by a year that would be cause for a celebratory meal

When I was married I did all the cooking. Now that I'm single I've lost my way a bit

I've only ever had one meet cook for me (once) and that was lovely.

I'd love to meet a guy who could, and would, cook decent food.

It would be more like lunch time when we got up. When his parents had gone to work and his brother in school we'd have to load the dishwasher, peg his mums washing out, walk the dog and then we'd just eat, fuck and play computer games!

Some women are very lucky in life to have partners who cook, I hope they appreciate their men.

We both cook. We both do most of the things around the house. We do it because we need to eat and live in a clean home not as a "thing" for each other.

I cook just about everyday of the year I love it. I don't see it as a chore.

The first thing I think about when I wake up is what I can cook for dinner that evening.

However, I cherish when someone cooks for me and it isn't a restaurant.

I really appreciate friends and family who cook for me but just as happy cooking for them.

I don’t really understand an adult not being able to cook (I don’t mean anything fancy, but just something quite basic) or another adult facilitating it. Everyone has to eat, surely it’s something pretty important?

It's most important thing I learned in school. It's one of the few things I use everyday.

They should go further. Make it compulsory and also teach how to grow food, hunt, fish, butcher and prepare the food. Along with how to handle it and cook it.

I agree. My nephew offered to cook for me and my ex husband when he was 14. It was the day of a funeral and asked if we were hungry and did we want something. He was trained well by my sister. He could cook, clean etc.

Love cooking. I don't see why everyone can't make at least some simple meals, it's not like there's difficult technical skills required. Especially in these days of youtube, you can just watch a video and copy it.

I cook most meals in our house. Wifey gets home later than me so I get it ready for when she gets home. And a glass of red waiting.

Prefer not to cook but have to make best use of your time to free the night up.

I've had 5 men cook for me. My ex husband cooked a meal just for the two of us, once in 30 years.

A man from POF cooked for me a couple of times and 3 men from here cooked for me; sausages, chicken salad and lamb chops with sweet potato and veg.

It was nice for a change.

My date earlier this week cooked me poached eggs and avocado on rye toast. It was a nice treat. It’s not the first time someone has done that, a previous date made me eggs Benedict and it was delicious.
