Not a meet request... But it's the Sparkle Transgender festival in Manchester next weekend (6th to 8th July) and I wondered if any trans, or non-trans, folk from here might be going along?

Of specific interest to anyone who is also a churchgoer, on the sunday morning it is the Sparkle in the Cathedral church service at Manchester cathedral. This is not a trans-specific service, but instead an occasion when the cathedral extends an invitation to all visitors to the festival to come along and join in the normal morning worship at the cathedral.

Trans people, their friends, supporters and significant others are welcomed, including people of all genders, sexualities, faiths and races.

I am intending to go along to the service, I hope that there may be a few more from here that will be at Sparkle, who might consider going along as well. Polly xx

Hope that you have a great time for your first sparkle. I don't know how much of the Saturday i will catch, as at present it looks like i will be driving from the other end of the country that day. If you should happen to spot me anywhere (I'll have the rainbow hair most likely) please come and say hello xx

Ditto - but I'll be there Friday and Saturday... will still be around Sunday morning but I'm not religious either...
