Is an actual thing, it’s the need to start a thread, even if the topic is of no interest to anyone, most are denial though. It’s very hard to diagnose . Can’t say I’ve got it, but think there must be a few on here who have it. Are you inflicted with thread Tourette’s or do you know anyone who is ?

There and to the left a bit

I think there are definitely some who regularly start threads as nothing more than a "look at me" type thing - often along similar lines to other popular threads that have already been posted.

There are some however who you can tell are just trying to keep the forums fresh and moving by posting new and interesting threads - DanBerks used to be great at that when he was here - would often post threads designed to be inclusive and interesting.

But there's a definite distinction between the two

I genuinely try to keep my thread topics diverse, clearly there's a leaning towards the countryside and the environment but only because that's what i know and care about. There's plenty of other people posting threads with subject matter more suited to a swingers' site so i don't often feel the need to indulge along those lines.

I hope that they're inclusive and interesting and that they make people think. If instead they bore the pants off you i can only apologise but don't expect that to stop me.
