Why would anyone send a face pic in a first message? You could be sending it to absolutely anyone. Your kid's teacher, your boss, your husband.

When do you send face pics?

Do you consider that they may use your pic for dodgy dealings?

If not sent at the start, I'd ask to see one once it gets to a point where I feel I'd quite like to meet the other person.

Around 90% of women's profiles stipulate that if a face pic isn't sent in the first message it will be deleted

There’s face pictures of the majority of us all over the internet, why is it an issue on here ?

Unless it’s a sexually explicit picture including your face or a naked picture with your face visible then I don’t see what anyone could do with it that’s not already risked when you display a face picture on any other social media site. As a person that has regularly been photographed and displayed in newspapers there are many pictures of myself on the internet, none of which have caused me any problems at all.

In answer to your question about when we’d send a face picture it’s only if we’ve decided we want to be friends or we both really fancy them.

Only Wednesday, I went for a cuppa with a half of a couple who I'd been chatting with. Awkward pause, "you look familiar", and "You too". We knew each other. Suffice to say, I'm really glad I went, and we're going to meet again. Coulda been very awkward, but wasn't.

I’ll happily swap face pics if I’m chatting to someone but profiles that demand a face pic with first contact tend to get a swerve.

I understand that people get a lot of messages and they regard this as a means to narrow down the selection, but the reverse is that a lot of people don’t want their face randomly all over the site so they’re only getting messages from certain people.

I would say it’s beacuse if someone was to screen shot the photo it would be your face with a nice big Fab Swingers logo above it

If someone is vindictive enough to want to out you as a swinger then there’s lots of ways to manufacture a picture to this anyway.

Making fake accounts with a face picture ripped from Facebook being an obvious one.

If your pictures are on the internet you run the risk of many things...

If I'm messaging "cold" (which is rare) I'll always include a Face Pic with the first message, saves getting into the situation where you get chatting to someone building a connection and chemistry only to swap faces further down the line and find no attraction.

It really doesn't bother me - whilst I'm sure there are those that may try and make capital out of the information I would think the vast majority are either completely trustworthy or simply not that bothered about playing those kind of games.

Ultimately if someone tries to "out" me there's not a great deal of harm they can do so doesn't bother me in the slightest - I also don't automatically "expect" a face pic in return if there's no attraction found by the other person.

I (Mrs) won't even chat to a guy if I haven't seen his face. Wouldnt want to waste time chatting only to discover Im not attracted to him. It's not blind date! I am here to meet men for sex only, therefore I want to find him attractive before agreeing to meet. If I was here to make friends then it wouldn't matter to me what they looked like.

I can’t say it really bothers me. If it ever turned out I knew them I wouldn’t be ashamed I’m here or anything besides which I’m really good at recognising peoples features so from the rest of their pics I’d be able to deduce who it is as they will have narrowed it right down by sharing it within a circle as that’s human nature to share within mutual connections if that’s their intention. In which case it’s likely they’d be more bothered about people knowing than I would. I’m an adult with a very dark but healthy sexual appetite. No shame in it

Doesn’t bother me really. Probably passes some sort of filter in a lot of cases, and I set them to auto delete.

I always figure it’s pretty unlikely someone will recognise me, pretty unlikely they’d say anything if they did, and assume people have got better things to do anything than shrug, and delete the message.

The one I hate is people with no photos on their profile, demanding pictures, so they can judge your picture. Then have the power of veto, so you can't see/judge their photo. Unfortunately a lot of peopleon here with agendas. Though I do like the profiles of women who say " no dick pics" but happily have their vagina as a profile pic....lol

I don't tend to look for people locally to avoid the embarrassing moment, which has happened!

I guess I look at veris and try to establish a feel of how genuine they are then take the leap of faith with the initial message? There's something nerve wracking yet oddly exciting about it waiting for a reaction...or none!

Is that not basically sending a face pic because you feel you have to, to be in with a chance? It is totally a control thing for the people who ask for it, it’s rare there’s not a list of other demands accompanying one for a face pic. Which is fine, and tbh understandable as it’s probably a reaction to a lot of messages, and a lot of shit ones at that.

We’ve found the ones with the biggest list of demands are the ones most likely to let you down.

It’s almost as if they put the list up because they know they’re not going to meet and it’s a case of getting the excuses in early.

being a guy ive had this done to me and well ive done it myself, but if youre not feeling it then move on, we are all here for fun, some people need to stop taking convos to heart and just move on and try your luck with someone else. but guys we have to try extremely hard to impress on here and we know it
