I don't suppose anyone on here is a solicitor and has any experience on dealing with education welfare ?

You need to seek formal legal advice from a solicitor or CAB. Are you entitled to legal aid or does your household or car insurance offer legal expenses insurance?

However if you post on here, people might be able to help with informal advice.

I'm not entitled to legal aid and I have no insurance as I have no need for it

I can't really afford a solicitor which is why I was looking for some informal advice

And CAB are no help at all

You would be better asking on a law forum. I tried to send you a website URL but unable to message as I am outside your age range.

I cannot post URLs on the forum.

I'm not but there are loads on here. I come here for all my legal advice, rather than going to a lawyer.

My advice for what it's worth (very little) is that the advice here may be similar to the advice you get in your local pub.

There is bound to be an online forum for that sort of thing.

Now for my advice that is valuable. Keep as far away as possible from solicitors as they will ripp you off. FACT!
