"If your travelling this week have at lest a 1L bottle of drink with you at all times. " Why? You do know this isnt a third world country? You do know your rarely far from a potable water source, usually from a tap! The temperatures are barely in the eighties. When did we start panicking because its summer? You wont die from dehydration in this country, especially sat in a train nevermind un a traffic jam.

So your advice to people, maybe even the elderly who might be catching a train, is don't be prepared - if you start feeling thirsty just wait and pay over the top pricing for a drink or even visit a skanky toilet and put mouth against a tap that has been used by god knows how many people who haven't washed hands. Excellent.

"I don't think it's stupid advice to carry water of there is risk of delay to your journey. Trolley services (if they exist) are not infinite supplies and neither is the tap water on a train. Depending on how busy the train is it could run out quite quickly. We in the UK are simply not geared up for very hot or very cold weather, rain we seem to be OK at lol " We are definitely ok in wind and rain. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=C-B-Bx3KjeQ https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7HD744RbrGg

Its not fucking rocket science and I dont need a man from a ministry to remind me to drink when thirsty. As for carrying around a litre of water. Really? A litre? I worked in the paper industry for over twenty years and the atmosphere in the machinehouses were as hot and humid as any sauna. Heat exhaustion and dehydration was rare and we were WORKING in it. How did we manage? Tea mainly! When did we become such a nation of gormless cunts that we need to be told to drink when its hot. The world really must think were stupid.

"So, how many were rushed into hospital with heatstroke and dehydration today?? Fucking none. A British summer is 3 hot days and a thunderstorm. Calm the fuck down people. You dont know what heat is. I guarantee you there will have been many admissions for both of the above. And we’ve had several weeks of lovely weather now with plenty more to come so you are wrong on both counts. I think the heat is getting to you. " Quite the opposite, I prefer the heat and know how to work in it. You shouldnt need to tell an adult how to "survive" in temperatures that are hardly scorching. Makes me wonder how they survive on holidays.

"If your travelling this week have at lest a 1L bottle of drink with you at all times. Why? You do know this isnt a third world country? You do know your rarely far from a potable water source, usually from a tap! The temperatures are barely in the eighties. When did we start panicking because its summer? You wont die from dehydration in this country, especially sat in a train nevermind un a traffic jam. So your advice to people, maybe even the elderly who might be catching a train, is don't be prepared - if you start feeling thirsty just wait and pay over the top pricing for a drink or even visit a skanky toilet and put mouth against a tap that has been used by god knows how many people who haven't washed hands. Excellent. I'm elderly, retired, from a generation that used common sense. So when I had to take a train on Monday I put on cotton clothes and carried a litre of water with me. My home to Guy's hospital, including one mile walk to the station thirty minutes. It was hot and believe it or not I didn't need to be reminded to take water and I doubt anyone of my generation did either. Too much nannying. The Onley problem is common sense todays date is not very common anymore Then perhaps they need a practical lesson in what happens on a hot day. Its hot you get thirsty, you have a drink. Its not fucking rocket science and I dont need a man from a ministry to remind me to drink when thirsty. As for carrying around a litre of water. Really? A litre? But Working in a hot bilding with plumbing 24'7 and being on a train in the middle of nowhere with nothing are 2 different things. And that's wear you will want/need a drink on hand. And how hard is it to carry a liter of drink ? It's just 2 500ml bottles. And sum not most but sum people are a bit stupid.

"I don't think it's stupid advice to carry water of there is risk of delay to your journey. Trolley services (if they exist) are not infinite supplies and neither is the tap water on a train. Depending on how busy the train is it could run out quite quickly. We in the UK are simply not geared up for very hot or very cold weather, rain we seem to be OK at lol " I never said it was stupid advice. Though it is advice for the apparently stupid. Thirsty? Try water! Christ on a bike.

And wear can you find water on a train with no taps and no trolley survive that's stuk cos of the heat and cos of the 3rd rail passengers can not get off so the dors are kept locked. Ps most trains don't have windows that open eather so your sat in a tin can !

"Only in the UK .... " Actually, only anywhere in the world where extreme heat is less frequent and such tolerances are difficult to build into the track. If the think the UK is bad, try Canada where the track is so cold in the winter it could shatter, yet buckle with the same heat we`re experiencing!
