There are old chimneys in my block that are currently being used as ventilation shafts (complete with vent grilles in each flat) -the long and the short of it is the neighbours downstairs sound like they are thrashing the bed against the wall when they get going (picture sounds of the headboard slapping the wall accompanied by what sounds like an olympic weightlifter groaning)

No I never have and I’ve lived here 20 years. Our layouts are all quite different though. Also my bedroom is a floor above theirs, I do have to admit to having forgotten about the open windows too during the summer, but I think I’ve always got away with it!

There’s some people on here who have a problem with anyone having noisey sex in case the kids hear , so anyone making enough noise for neighbours and other people’s kids hearing will surely evoke negative reactions from some .

But not us , we don’t have neighbours , but if we did I’m sure they would hear us sometimes

I was standing in the back garden, talking to my neighbours. Their bedroom is on the other side of the wall to my bedroom.

My daughter said something about funny noises, to which my neighbour replied “yes we hear lots of funny noises coming from your house”

Thankfully they have moved and there is no one next door at the moment. I’ll be happy if it remains like that....

I changed the name of my router to 'weallhearyourfakepornscreams'. After three days, not a peep. Passive aggressive I know but it was pretty bonkers

When I first moved in with my housemate I heard an odd thumping noise coming from upstairs. I assumed she was alone and knowing she was epileptic I thought she might be having a seizure and charged up the stairs.. half way up I heard an all mighty (and bloke sounding) I'm gonna pop my load" at which point I burst out laughing.. mainly sheer relief that she wasn't having a seizure.
