It has to be red or at a pinch a very good quality white one. Rose well its just an abomination and shouldn't be classed as wine and put in the alcopop section in off licences.

...although I actually agree with you - on both counts. And I lived over there too but still refused to drink du vin and would have a Desperados or a bottle of Gold instead.
