Somewhere In The Ether…

.....on the World Cup so far (sincere apologies for non fans)

So....with every team having now played and quite a few having played twice and having scrutinised said games, have your pre-tournament predictions changed any as regards which country will be ultimately lifting the illustrious title?

What have been your thoughts on the usage of VAR in the event thus far?

Who has been your stand out player thus far?

All thoughts and input welcome

My only critism about the VAR is how painfully slow it can be. I appreciate there is alot riding on making the correct descisions but it's rarely as slow as this in rugby

Totally disagree.

I can picture the 6 nations. The ref looking at the big screens. Angle after angle being shown. It can take 5 minutes out the game quite easily

think it may be a plan to up it to 50 mins a half to compensate you are looking around 3 mins each time its used

In rugby though they stop the clock. So no time lost.

Think France or Germany to win it..

If the ref runs off the pitch here to look at his screen they stop the clock.

If play carries on and the studio refs are looking they just carry on.

They got that bit right.
