Domestics this morning as I was out enjoying myself the last couple of nights and yesterday, so I have catching up to do, I have the Beatles on to accompany me.

Later off to the park with my daughter and we may go and meet some friends for a drink in a lovely pub garden later

Pollen Beatles maybe, loads of them here but they stay away from me as are more interested in my roses. They won't hurt you, maybe try not wearing perfume as they may be attracted to it.

Some things may have without nipping out to the shops in your bikini...

* Sprinkle cinnamon around.

* A common insect repellent trick handed down from the older generations is to slice up some onions, toss ’em in a bowl of water, and the bugs will run far away.

* Lemon stuffed with cloves. This method works well for both indoor and outdoor situations and practically guarantees that you won’t see any flies around for a while. All you have to do is place whole cloves in a half lemon, wedging in as many of the cloves as you can fit into the flesh. Place the lemon half in a bowl, and let it do its job.

* Cucumber. Not only do ants hate the smell of cucumber, but so do flies. Place slices in any areas that are at risk of being infested.

Lazy dog walk to a riverside pub with a reserved table and big outside screen for the England game.

The plan is for me to have a Few pints of stowfords,crisps, nuts and pickled eggs, England win, lazier stagger back home without falling in the river and a BBQ at mine later

I'm desperate so I'll try it. I have a scented candle out there and the guinea pigs can go without their cucumber today. I can see the swines flying around,I need one of those little umbrella things that you cover food up with to protect them from the flies,only a bloody big one to cover me.

I'm all out of net curtains I've not had those for years. I think the scented candle is helping actually. I still have a few on me,but it's not as bad. I have half an onion as well so we'll see. It's my own damn fault for not getting anything.

Just had a quick Google and if you search for "mosquito tent" there's one on Amazon for £29.99 That looks like it'll work ok. Looks big enough to cover a double bed and has it's own frame work so it's self supporting
