There’s s technique that I was taught when I first started to interview job applicants. Use ‘how would you’ rather than ‘Do you’. No real secret and I expect many in here know the trick.

If I'm too tired to converse properly I tell them I'm tired and we'll talk later or tomorrow. Some might think I'm longing them off if I don't leave the site.

We use that all the time when we get a one liner. 50% 50% the next message will be a request to meet, or a torrent of abuse about being ungrateful.
