Hi

Spoke to someone for months swapping pics etc

I left fab but we kept intouch. Obviously im back on now we chatted every day almost then doing a google search i found one of the pics she sent me was of someone else. Im not green but i was taken right in.she sounded very convincing, had lots of veris etc..

When i asked her she deleted account. This happen to anyone else? And why would you do this?

Odd that they had verifications. Offer still that they deleted their account... Are you sure they've not just blocked you?

Looked for her name and its mot on fab. She had 16 veries i think probably 10 different people

Yes I'm quite sure it's happened to me a few times. But I always end up finding out because of asking to swap what's app after a few days. It's happened so much I ask sooner to swap details now. It's best to talk on the phone or by video chat. Also verifications can be fake a "woman" asked me to verify her yesterday after not giving me her number or anything. She had a few genuine looking pics too.

All profiles are created by a person, so 16 people could meet and confirm that they were who they said they were to them, even if person 17 got a photo that the others didn't. Verifications are not official identity confirmations, like the passport office issues.

Be wary of enduring any ongoing long durations without meeting or using live video. In fact, be wary of any of the techniques that so-called catfish inflict on others.

Have and enforce very strict boundaries at all times. I may have missed out by doing this but I've not had some terrible experiences too.
