Not sure if this is the best place to ask about work. Depending on your profession Linkedin is worth joining for professional networking. Get help with your CV and interview techniques. Sign up with jobs sites and agencies.

Make job hunting a job in itself with a plan of action and focused direction.

It sounds simple but start with googling the kind of job you're after and the area you're happy to work in.

If you have a trade, talk to people as someone usually knows of something through a friend of a friend.

What sort of Job are you looking for?

Umeitkdnt write agencies off totally. I got my current job from starting through and agency and working my way up through promotion. I wouldn't rely on them either though

I'm sure agencies advertise fake jobs to get you on the books.

All of my jobs have been through word of mouth etc
