Being lied to is a horrid feeling. A mixture of let down and disapointed to one of humiliation and feeling a complete fool.

And then its how do you belive the person again? Leading to self doubt and quistioning and mistrust.

Had this happen to me recently. I had to produce so much of my life just to prove that I was who I claimed to be. The lengths people go to just to discredit someone and keep their facade is disgusting. I genuinely thought I’d gone crazy, it’s a horrible place to be. The true definition of loneliness.
