I've got to do a SAC, half day off work lost and £91

But still better than a larger fine and points

Who else has done one of these recently?

I did one last year, they are not as bad as you may think, and if you get a decent group, they can be quite entertaining, at the end of day, you are all in the same boat

Masked and Distant

They aren't too bad.

Done a couple

Best bit is listening to all the excuses as to why people shouldn't be there.

Last one I went on everyone was asked why they were there.....my response "because I was caught going too fast"

I had overtaken someone who was doing around 40 in a 60 and was slowing down but didn't want to slam my brakes on after overtaking

My fault I know but still a bit of a bugger

BRIDPORT

Did one a couple of years ago. It cost more than the fine but kept my license clean and to be fair I did learn a bit as well. Depends on who you’ve got taking the course and how inclusive and involving they make it whether you get something out of it. Guess I was just lucky the person taking mine was good at their job getting everyone involved in a relaxed way.

They didn't have them when I got caught speeding in 2007. Was doing 36 in a 30, mobile van by my street, was the day of this dance festival thing. Was coming back from the hair dressers tinny house down the road that's national speed limit till you reach the road leading to my house at the time. Was slowing back down to 30 but went past the van which was in a lay by surrounded by trees till you'd passed it! Bastards, 3points and £100 fine! Understand now cos there's a huge housing estate there but back then all that was there was fields till you turned into my street.

Speeding is speeding ... I was doing 67 in a 60 ... It's a fair cop and all that.

I'm glad it is a boat. Wouldn't want to be in the same car as that lot.
