My daughter had said that instead of Wally on a few occasions. Talk about embarrassing

A keener interest in this afternoons game between Belgium and Panama.

Not just because they're Englands rivals in group g, but I'm acquainted with a couple of the players from the Belgium squad.

Wouldn't that be a story, but no. More in a professional way.

I’m most disappointed that story I would have loved to hear

Bald fraud Bobby Martinez must have dished out his infamous 'hand fan' treatment at half time.

No surprises in this one.

"Did England win? "

2-1 flattered Tunisia.

Martin Keown said 'England ate playing the best football played in the tournament so far' or words to that affect.

It went downhill from there - other than the result

To be fair to England if any of our clubs played like that on a Saturday, creating that many chances and scoring a late winner, we'd go home happy.

Very true. The thing that I liked more than anything else I think we’re the goal celebrations, the whole team to a man. Real togetherness and playing for each other, that’s exactly what I’d hoped for and it augurs well for the future

It's reminds me of us (wales) in the euros. Our team then had come through u18 together. They are genuinely mates.

This English team AND the manager have spent a long time together. Southgate managed most of this team at U21 level.

Lampard was on about club rivalry within the English squad in years gone by. He reckons there isn't any now.

It certainly does have the club feel around the squad and they all seem to put the team's needs first which hasn't always been the case.

Absolutely, in this way I think Southgate has got things bang on
