Putting yourself on the pedestal

Joining a hot or not thread and getting deflated at the answer. Posting "shag" only to be skipped over by the poster below.

Why do we put ourselves up on the pedestal to be knocked down, on a site full,of what is effectively strangers? Ego boost? Curiosity? Masochism ?

I actively avoid those threads.

As my friend commented when I said I would have to go back in the streets from whence I came "you couldn't afford the refunds" .

I'm not in the habit of deliberately setting myself up for a fall

I normally slip the odd 'pass' in if i see a thread running but i never revisit it so it makes no odds to me if I'm ignored or not

If people get that upset over being skipped, or not getting a shag, they should reassess their life and do a few stints in a soup kitchen or something similairly useful.

Those are the type of threads I can honestly say I have never partaken of, I feel they are just full of desperate people looking for acceptance from just anyone, just as long as someone says they will, makes them happy, hey ho if you say or think it is harmless fun then so it may be
