Anyone who seen me post or comment on here may have seen my posts about my knee operation...

Wednesday noticed my knee had swollen more which was odd especially as my whole leg was 3-4 times size of normal leg post operation anyways...

So on Wednesday my mother noticed back leg looked like clotted blood so contacted hospital and asked go in ASAP for tests due to high risk of dvt. While there had bloods and many tests as well as scans luckily no clots detected BUT could still happen which would threaten my health or my leg(knee and bellow)..

To reduce risks I was taken off of the protection medications (anticoagulants) but advises/told to ice my leg hourly for the next 3 days this meant start 7am finish midnight and high elevation at sleep which was not comfortable lol.

Although this was all a pain it was done with no messing and it paid off as today went back the ward for check up and yippee they happy swelling reduced to half size it was and bleeding areas seem to be reducing... not out of the woods yet as next week is crucial but looking better

Sorry if this seems nonsense just happy and relieved about news although still terrified about risk and not bein clear

Me also was very scary

Hard enough wearing brace to fix leg for 8weeks then physio so off work 3-4 months +

As a health care professional I know surgical risks as tell people them daily just hard hitting and shock when roles reversed and it’s you that’s at risk
