There are so many on here, we’ve encountered so many obvious fake profiles, a few messers and quite a few fantasists who obviously crave the attention they can get from the site but have no intention of meeting.

We used to think that verifications were a decent way of finding the genuine people but there are obviously ways around that.

What tips do you have or what system do you use to out the time wasters so you can find the genuine?

Hard one this. Gut feeling during communication. If something doesn't feel right or doesn't quite add up then forget it. Nothing good will come out of it.

We rarely do house visits unless it’s people we’ve already met . As we can’t accomodate we do have to rely on a certain amount of trust , and as time goes by we are only too aware that there are so many fakes and fantasists . We will arrange to meet up to three or four guys / couples / single women for an outdoor meet and usually only one will turn up . That’s why we like dogging as there will often be other suitable playmates there . Much the same with a club .

That would work with dogging but we’re not into that, we like our indoor comfort lol. We can’t really arrange to meet 3 or 4 couples in the pub at the same time because they may all turn up! There doesn’t seem to be anything definitive to distinguish the genuine from the otherwise. Clubs are the easiest option but not everyone visits clubs.

This is a strange one for us, we'd like to meet others here but we've been messed about by one or two supposed couples,so have we sadly, or maybe wisely have decided in 9/10 instances we will meet and play with couples on the mainland only. To be sure of establishing a fab relationship we will meet and play at clubs, and/or establish some kind of rapport there for further non-club meets.

Unfortunately for us, we've a offspring living with us having been living away from us for 2 years prior to us being here, so accommodating is impossible and tbh dogging doesn't do anything for us.

We cannot accommodate due to teenagers at home so wouldnt expect others to.

We obviously have many long term friends we have met and played with at clubs who we do socialise with away from clubs but they are friends not just meets.

That is a useful filter, and can also mean that if things don't work out, hopefully both sides can move on and meet others. It shouldn't be forgotten that in agreeing to meet others there via messaging isn't a guarantee of promise to be exclusive that night, if at all...

The start point for this should be fab themselves banning known and reported profiles, but they really don’t care as it’s all about numbers on the site and advertising revenue from the known numbers... add to that the fact lots of dodgy or fake profiles are paying site supporters!! so more revenue to fab....

Until fab respect the genuine users and ban the fakes it will just continue. Reported a number of fakes and guess what, there still active and if you get aggressive in message to a fake profile, it’s us that gets the warning or ban...

It's about time fab admin started to do some thing about all the messers ,we as a couple have been stood up 15 times in total ,8 of which has been in the last 3 mth !! We've also booked and paid for hotels which 5 of these did not show ! We've travelled to angle of north ,booked a hotel there at the foot of the angle and again a no show ! It's a complete joke !!! We won't book hotels in advance now ,we insist on face /body pics ,then we get you haven't a face pic . Yes we have but only after we've seen yours . We went to meet a 24 yrs old female who turned out to be a 50 yr old bloke with a big chin"seriously ", we have now got to the stage where we have numerous accounts so when we do get stood up or let down we chat to them from another account and send them on a wasted journey ! Well if there going to waste our time we're only repaying the favour ..the day fab starts charging £150 a year to use this site it will get rid of the arm chair toss Potts and we as a couple will be the first to pay for the use of fab..5 yrs ago you could guarantee a genuine meet on here !! Not now !!

Wow. Ive been saying for ages that its admins fault the time wasters are on here. You get couples profiles that arnt varied. Not photo varied and not site supported. Really. Sure its a couple. I think not. They know this but wont do anything because they want to say they are the biggest swingers site. If i have anybody message me for a meet and has the mobile icon up i will ask for a direct now photo taken and sent to me. If they say no then no meet. I will always forward mine on. But there again im genuine

It's not admins fault there are so many fakes. We all have the tools to them out. absolutely this. You get fraudsters in all walks of life, why would being here be any different?

The tools are here, you should use them and then throw in something like gut feeling, forensics and the if it's too good to be true mantra on top.

Even then there's no guarantee that you will be taken in occasionally, but using the tools and your own sense of playdar will minimise the risk of that. "

I’m not being funny if you won’t what’s app etc how will you out the fakes? I’ve always insisted on either a phone call/or a video call to check people out and in all the time I’ve only had one no show. A lot of people knock Kik but at least on there you can video call without giving your phone number out. Or do a quick social first doesn’t have to cost a lot of money to check out people!

There’s only so much the admins can do, you need to do more checks yourself and as for £150 a year seriously, all you’ll get will be entitled people saying I’ve paid that much money so you will have sex with me.

If I'm getting along with a guy, and we start talking about meeting I will give out my number.

If he just wants to chat on Kik, it's usually an indicator of time waster, married looking for chat not meets, not saying it's true in every case, but this has certainly been my experience.
