Why should they? If they’re not interested in meeting you. Which is what the site is about. If they’re not interested in at least a social, what’s the point? It’s a waste of everyone’s time to pointlessly message.

You can’t message someone on Tinder unless you’ve both swiped right. So you BOTH have to be interested. Same should apply on fab.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away & Spain

I’m unfamiliar with Tinder, & More familiar with Grindr, but to answer the question... Fab seems to have become as mainstream as Tinder/Grindr which has diluted it for the original members of the site who embraced the swinging lifestyle.

The more press coverage Fab got for being mentioned in the national press (see Daily Record/Daily Mail/Swinger Festival exposè/& McKeague coverage) the more the site expanded it’s membership of Weekender Profiles, Armchair Swingers & Fake Profiles.

In it’s original form the site was owned by real swingers & run for their benefit, Forums were great places to read about organised Social Meets in your local areas, & real hookups were quite easy to arrange.

With further adverse, sensationalist press coverage & the expansion of smart phone technology the site adapted & the membership expanded causing it to develop beyond it’s original format. This may possibly have caused its original membership to go to ground, or become quieter & selective about how they go about arranging Meets.

I’ve noticed over the years that there’s a lack of house parties, Socials & genuine Meets noted on the Forums, though there is still the Clubs Section which many never bother to look into in their local area - possibly because a great many do think the site is a form of InstaShag, or Tinder/Grindr.

Many new members will join over the weekend & be gone by Monday, many are content to be Armchair Swingers & won’t make the effort to get off the chair & use the site for “wank bank fodder”.

There’s possibly more of a larger percentage of members happy enough to focus on how many “Fabs” their galleries get, or only use the Cam Rooms, or send mails in the hope of exchanging pics than actually ever meet in real life rather than attend a Social or Club.

The Forums can contain the same “Look At Me” (LAM) Threads, or “Help Me I’m Not Getting Laid/What Am I Doing Wrong?” Threads written & rewritten by the same or returning profiles weeks & sometimes months apart, yet the same folk never act on the advice given by members trying to help them out.

If you add to that the plain mathematics of the situation (members, minus age compatibility, minus location, minus who can/cannot Accom, minus attraction, deducting timewasters from the total... ) you are left with a small number of eligible profiles for your consideration.

None of this helps folk who actually like to arrange Meets.

Now whilst this may sound like a negative response it does highlight what everyone is up against.

All of that said, Fab is still one of the best swingers sites that exists, however it’s not InstaShag nor would swingers who enjoy & embrace the lifestyle want it to be. For the vast majority of others it may prove as disappointing as Tinder/Grinder/PoF etc if you’re merely seeking a quick legover or remain an Armchair Swinger looking to get your dopamine fix online.

In conclusion, my apologies if this all sounds a bit negative for those who wish to get involved in the swinging lifestyle, but it’s merely my honest appraisal of looking for a quick answer to quick sex. You just have to put in the effort as much as you would in real life in a bar or club.

The answers to arranging real Meets are scattered around. The answer if Fab is like Tinder is that it’s now just as mainstream as the other platforms.

Fab is what you want it to be - use it on that basis. And be grateful if people who aren't compatible - either way - don't waste their time and yours with needless interaction. If you're looking for social engagement, then look at Fab social get togethers.

We're all here for different experiences, so it's worthwhile being selective and keeping inbox loads lower.
