Why lie about your age ?

Today I looked at a picture of a single girl that came up in top photos, (won't name names not fair), however it says shes 37

I looked at her profile and it say she as another profile with her o/h so I looked at that and on that one their both 41

Surely your age isn't important it what condition your in that counts

I was just trying to remember how old I was there, 37 or 38, had to work it out from my year of birth. Maybe she is as confused as me??

I agree totally... But there are more than a few who find that being on the wrong side of the 50 line can be a disadvantage...

They, in their turn, will reach a similar age...

Tis life, and not something which costs me any much needed beauty sleep...;-);-)

I am not saying men are more likely than women to knock a few years off, just that they are really rubbish about how many years they can get away with knocking off.

I have seen so many guys claiming to be 39/40 and I would have aged them at 50+..... some 60+.

I know it's about filters and searching by age range.... but jeeze, some really are taking the piss.

A man who contacted me said on his profile he was 30 and he told me he was realy 18, i wouldnt of known by looking at him. Quite a few men in their fifties i have met said they had said on their profile they were a few years younger too.

On another site I met a man who was 57 to my 47. He's revamped his profile, and whilst in four years I've aged to 51, miraculously he's now 49!

I met a man last week who said he was 53...he looked older than that, and made me feel old.

Some dye their hair but you can still tell how old they are when you see them close up.

he would have had to have had a really hard life if you couldt tell the difference between and 8 year old and a 30 year old lol

i cant be arsed fibbing about my age ! my memory is shocking so id never remember what i said so far easier just to stick to the truth !! im an old bint and proud lol !

ohh do have to say quite afew claiming they got their dob wrong on profile after ive told em i want over 30s ... i may be going slighty dotty but i still know my own date of birth lol ! even funnier the excuses they have for not "correcting" it right away too . makes me smile hehe!

To be fair, I think most people make a few changes, for discretion. Very few I have met use their real name, and many change their age slightly (though always knocking years off!). I altered mine by a year, just to change it from actuality, though I've met quite a few who I doubt were born in the same decade that they said!

you would think so, but its not the case, alot of people are so phobic about meeting people outside of their chosen age range that some people feel it necessary to lie about it to get a meet. We arent fussy but alot of people are about it.

i really cant understand why people lie about there age unless they are underage for something. but hey if thats what they need to do to make themselves feel better good look to them. i would sooner someone think i look good for my age than knock some years off and them think i look dog rough

I too will be 50 in December. Does that mean I will be more of a sexual lepper than I am right now. What is wrong with people on this site. Do they seriously beleive that one you turn 45 or so you are crap in bed. Thats in bed not on the bed!

but grey hair doesn't always equate to age. i started going grey as a child and was almost completely grey by my mid twenties. no idea how grey i am now since its been dyed for so long!
