I'm curious to see whether anyone has ever felt really intimidated when meeting (social or fun) and how you went about it. I don't mean like domination but, I was due to meet a couple on Tuesday, i was excited and nervous but then Monday night the guy in the couple messaged me on WhatsApp sending warnings and how if I tried anything I'll need to watch my back. As you can guess the meet didn't happen as the lady involved was ill (surprise lol) but yea, just wondered if any of you had anything like that happen on an actual meet?

Hasn't happened to me yet but then I tend to either take my time getting to know people first before meeting, and as a result having a fair idea that they're both genuine and matched in terms of what we're looking to get out of the meet, or they're people I've met at a club where any sign of intimidating behaviour you can just walk away

Sorry to hear it happened to you though OP suspect you may have fallen prey to the Greater Spotted Tit (aka a bloke posing as a couple)

I have had intimidation from a couple prior to a meet. I agreed to meet them for a couple of hours (he was to pick me up) but they suddenly decided I had to stay the night. I said no way, they got very nasty so I backed out and blocked them. They then started a new profile from which the "female" started messaging me demanding I meet the male. They also described my coat and boots I normally wore, but I had not told them that info, so clearly they had been lurking about near the arranged pick up point and spied on me. I reported them xxx

I only meet people where we can communicate and get along really well, which wouldn't leave opportunity for someone to intimidate. They'd be off, as not making the grade of common decency and respect for others.

Very early in my swinging days, back when it was contact magazines not internet, I met a man for a drink. I dont really drink very often and was driving so stuck to soft drinks which was where he started being a bit pushy. He kept trying to get me to have a drink with him 'to help us relax'. Later in the hotel room he got really pushy and demanding, I said I wasn't comfortable and he got quite arsey with me saying I was cock tease and stuck up and I needed a drink to unwind.... I just got my coat and left.

Not intimidation ,but people trying to get me to invite them straight over or telling me what to wear etc.

As soon as someone starts making me uncomfortable I tell them it's not happening and block.

I've been intimidated on a meet, and worse, but it's all experience and a learning curve.

There's some very strange people on here, choose carefully who you meet.

I had a meet when I was last in with a couple at their house. To be honest they were really arrogant, rude and looked unclean and I made my excuses to leave. I was getting abuse of me being a time waster etc and the guy got really aggressive and abusive. I said I was 'sorry' but the guy decided he needed to grab hold of me and said that I was being insulting to them for wanting to leave. I asked him to remove his hand to which I got 'or F'ing what..' and he shoved me and swung.

unfortunately for him I'm a good boxer, and I gave him a right cross which knocked him to the floor. I shouted back then and made my retreat!!

Unrelated note (sorry OP !) I'm super fascinated about the history of swinging and meeting people through magazines. Did you write letters then or how did you communicate before actually meeting ?

Yes. He seemed very sweet too, when we were talking.The meet turned into a total nightmare. I won't go into detail, but suffice to say, it completely changed the way i met afterwards and was a big learning experience for me. Funnily enough, my friend had a bad feeling about it, and he begged me not to meet the guy. I thought he was being dramatic, but after that, i always valued his input.

This has happened to me on more than one occasion, they were all fine for a first meet in public, but then all of a sudden they wanted to just come straight round to mine...….not happening, so all was cut off, last year was a shit year for this behaviour

Our first hotel meet where we had the room ended up an awful experience.

What started as a fun flirty social in the pub and had us both horny ended in him being extremely dominant. Once I'd cum which seemed to be his goal he was on to Mrs and was rough which is not our thing.

The problem here was that his actions intimidated both of us.

Yes I wish I'd done something to stop things at the time but when you feel threatened it's hard.

Without going into his personal detail it's made us think twice about guys that have a similar background.

We've never been intimidated. We had a very bad meet once that made us look at the way we met.

Nowadays as soon as someone gets pushy or goes against their initial claims we're off.

At the time it made me feel less of a man that was unable to protect my wife when I should have.
