If you have to keep spreads in the fridge (?!?), warm or toast the bread, spread from the crusts and work inwards...

Better yet with peanut butter... Remove from fridge and bin it...;-)

I prefer to make my own btw, by roasting peanuts with skin still on, at 180 deg C for about 30min.

When cooled, grind in a grinder, then bind with sufficient vegetable oil to form a paste, add salt to taste.

It has a grainy texture, however, not big lumps like what one gets in crunchy peanut butter.

And nuttier taste as the nuts have been roasted first.

Very easy to spread on fresh bread too.

Yum yum!

Peanut butter is definitely the stuff, and I've never kept it in the fridge cos it don't stay in the jar that long after opening...

I put it next to the marmite; on the windowsill. I know in winter there isnt as much sun... but it helps to keep the product runnier and easily spreadable
