Mine seems to be getting worse. The more stressed I am the worse my OCD is, it takes me longer and longer to leave the house. I lost my last job and had to take a new one which I hate. I just want my old life back.

That sounds really hard. Do you have strategies that have worked in the past?

Feel for you OP, do suffer a little myself but not the way you're obviously suffering.

CBT is the usually recommended treatment for ocd. Look for local nhs wellbeing service- you should be able to do refer yourself on line but waiting list can be long.

Make sure you are looking after yourself as well (enough vegetables, water, excersize, sleep, hobbies)

There are lots of guided meditations on you tube that can help you practise mindfulness- it's amazing at getting the mental chatter to stop for a bit.

Well done for talking about it- there Is truth in the saying a problem shared is a problem halved.

Sorry to hear you’re struggling currently. It sounds very debilitating. Wishing you some peace. X
